An outright lie from Caserio.  The right certainly believes in only law abiding, licensed individuals that pass background checks should have a gun, but so far the detection of lunatics who apply has fallen short but then the devious criminal will always find ways.

As to the Oregon College student that actually had a gun and did not use it, was an example of a cautious man that could not be one hundred percent certain that his use of a weapon at that particular point in time would not cause more mayhem or attract a negative reaction putting more students in harm's way, which is exactly the way a sensible gun owner should behave.
