Biden Does NOT need a BILL to close the border
He only needs a PEN. Thats all he needed to open it.
Thats all he needed to close it. Thats all Trump needed.
Maybe this is just Proof Trump is better than Biden.

One of the earlier posts regarding a former convict who was killed in Chicago got me to thinking about the drug problem, I don't think any community is exempt... Not too long ago we even had 2 Amish kids arrested for drug offenses.

Chicago seems to set a bad example for the world to follow... Are there NO decent people living there? If an elected official isn't being tried and sent to jail, another one is getting out and it seems that daily several people are killed over drugs deals that went bad.

I am sure Chicago is no worse than Detroit, Phila, NYC, Dallas, LA or San Francisco, Atlanta, New Orleans or Houston... All of the larger cities seem to have the same experiences.

Are other places just as bad and are we losing control of our who culture?

The county seat of the place I live has a population of about 27-30 thousand people, we have a lot of Hispanics who have come into the area and are taking the jobs in the chicken processing plants nearby.

Over this past week-end we had 3 deaths due to heroin overdosing. 2 of them were of the Hispanic heritage, the info on the third one has not been released to the public.

Trillions of dollars have been spent nationally from the "war on drugs" to the cost of putting drug dealers and yes even users into confinement.

We are not winning this war.  Even in small communities the problem seems to be escalating.

Are there any answers on how to stop this insanity?

The war on drugs is like the war on poverty, both are government failures, but like all government sponsored programs more money is always the answer!

Yep and the government banned it and out of that mess organized crime was born! Another blunder by the government.  If it ain't broke don't worry the government will fix it!

Legalize and tax weed, decriminalize/treat drug use, life sentence for trafficking and/or selling illegal drugs.

As long as the life sentence is for large and repeated trafficking of drugs by drug dealers and not a "friend" selling/giving to a friend small quantities and I would agree with everything you said local...

Life sentence in todays prisons are a cake walk for some they live better inside then they could on the outside!

For drug dealers the sentence should be death, at the time of arrest!

Does the government at the federal level down to the local level really want the drug problem solved? Does anyone have any ideal of how much money is taken in on a yearly basis, just on drugs alone?

There are no complete answers.  Proper upbringing is the best possible action.  Government action only makes matters worse, in almost every case.  The only value of government is in holding users accountable for their actions.

But who holds government accountable for their actions, when their actions are to ignore or claim there is no wrong doing. the moral decline of America can be lain at a the feet of the liberal democrats, and some republicans that lay with them!
