The guy came and picked up my firewood. What a nice guy...he's heating the neighbor's house with it. Said he's an 80 year old guy living alone and can't afford to buy the wood. I told him I had some other trees that if he wanted to do the labor cutting them down, he can have all the wood to do what ever with. Saves me a ton of money having them cut by my tree guy. They are not near the house so he can't really hurt anything. And he will clear out all the branches piled in the woods from previous storms and use it for kindling. :-) That makes me happy because I can't stand looking at it.

For the most part Sun... Craigslist is the way to go these days... one must be very careful even walking down the street these days if you know what I mean... It's a joy to me to find the treasures of someone else trash... and you can also do well at auctions if you can seek out one that has something you really need....
 
How I win at an auction... I raise my hand up and keep it there so everyone can see that I'll pay whatever the highest bid is for the item...and that usually makes the other think, well maybe the next auction... I'm not crazy though once it gets to much... I just put my hands down and put them back in my pocket...
 
So much fun when you win that way....

Just make sure the guy that picked up the wood was casing you and come back and rob you at night.

Okay mud. There are normal people out there amongst the wierdos.  He  emailed me and thanked mefor the wood from the old man. BTW, I have a security system on my house and is always on at night and when I leave, eveen if only talking a neighborhood walk. When he came here, I was armed with keys ( panic button) and  cell phone and house phone in my pocket. Door to house was locked.
