Thats a Lie.
Conservatives have always fought for blacks to be equal.

Conservatives were first to bring Civil Rights Bills in front of Congress.

Conservatives don't think blacks are so stupid as to need to lower test scores in order to accommodate them being hired into the same position as whites.

Conservatives don't keep blacks in ghetto voting plantations giving them just barely enough to survive as long as they continue to vote for the party that gives them free stuff.

Conservatives fought, killed fellow whites, and died to put an end to slavery, and

Conservatives never created a club of white-hooded buck teeth idiots to go around hanging those that failed to vote for the right party.

And lastly, Jim Crow was not a conservative.

Jim, all of your examples are certainly of conservatives. They weren't Republicans then, but they would surely be tea party Republicans today were they still alive. Those that are still alive are definitely Republican, and probably sympathetic to the tea party.

from the mid 1700 colonial days until now, american political parties have been divided over federal (liberal/central) or state (conservative/local) rights.

over time, the names and ideologies of those parties have morphed/merged into each other as they have tried to outflank each other and claim the political high ground.

the 1850 anti slave republican 3rd party of lincoln was not conservative.
it was the revolutionary fed/lib/central (union) party against the conservative dem party of the south.

the right wingers trying to hijack the democratic led civil rights act of 1964, using the excuse that 100 years previously those called republicans back then were against slavery more than democrats from the south, and because lincoln was called a republican back then even though today he would clearly be a liberal democrat, make the same silly, specious argument as those that claim the nazis were socialist because the word socialist in their title.  that is so stupid!!  the nazis were the antithesis of socialists!!  corporate run, statism where the people and the workers are just peons, pissants and pawns of the big corporations and the state.  that is like saying we know chinese are republicans because the name of the country is the Republic of China.

here is more proof who championed the civil rights act of 1964, knowing it would destroy the democratic total control of the 11 southern traitor racist states.

no southern republican in the house voted for the civil rights act.  not one.  and the democrats held the south so firmly THERE WAS JUST ONE REPUBLICAN SENATOR FROM ANY CONFEDERATE STATES IN 1964 AND ONLY 10 SOUTHERN REPUBLICAN HOUSE MEMBERS......get it? here is the real deal-

By party and region

Note: "Southern", as used in this section, refers to members of Congress from the eleven states that made up the Confederate States of America in the American Civil War. "Northern" refers to members from the other 39 states, regardless of the geographic location of those states.
The original House version:

•Southern Democrats: 7–87   (7%–93%)
•Southern Republicans: 0–10   (0%–100%)

•Northern Democrats: 145-9   (94%–6%)
•Northern Republicans: 138-24   (85%–15%)

The Senate version:

•Southern Democrats: 1–20   (5%–95%)
•Southern Republicans: 0–1   (0%–100%)

•Northern Democrats: 45-1   (98%–2%)
•Northern Republicans: 27-5   (84%–16%)
