If, as climate change enthusiasts believe, manmade climate change is going to melt the ice packs, why not do something positive? They say that the ice melt will raise the ocean hundreds of feet over time. They are spending, according to Forbes, 13/4 Trillion Dollars a year on climate change. Why not embrace it and realize that fertile farm lands may lie where ice now rests.
They could take that 13/4 trillion, 1 thousand seven hundred and fifty billion, dollars and build desalination plants all over the world, along with pipe lines to transport all the extra water from melting caps.
People will never go thirsty and crops will always be watered and people will be fed.

Simple solution, when now all they are wasting money buying votes!

This is in line with my arguments against the GW Alarmists.  It is generally considered that we are well past the point of doing much about it.  So I say use the resources currently consumed by bitching about it on programs to adapt and capitalize on what is going to happen. (according to the GWs).

All we ever hear from the supposedly "progressives" wailing about all that will change.  The examine, in minute detail, the worst case consequences of GW. 

"Progress".  Progress means to move hopefully, forward.  To put away yesterday and pursue tomorrow.  Yet these same Progressives bemoan the loss of the status quo of Climate.  They worry and moan about what they will lose with out a thought for what they will gain.

The Conservative, on the other hand, realizes that Change, in this case the Climate, is the price of Progress.  The price of moving into tomorrow.

So, perhaps not Social, but who are the real practical "Progressives" today?
