I have been out picking blueberries in our garden today and I am making my favorite blueberry scones.  Come on over!
 
Blueberry Scones
2 cups of All Purpose Flour
1/2 teaspoon sale
1 teaspoon creme of tartar
1/4 cup sugar
(sift dry ingredients together in mixing bowl)
 
1/3rd cup of butter (cut into dry ingredients - I use my food processor it is easier)
 
1/2 cup blueberries and add to above.
 
Make well in center of above and add 1 egg lightly beaten with enough milk added to make 2/3rd cup of liquid and form into dough.  It will be a little soft but pat it down onto lightly floured board and cut into shapes (round or triangular).  Brush scones with beaten egg and bake for 12-15 minutes at 425 degrees.

You and Sun are making hungry!  Sounds wonderful.  My neighbor brings me blueberries sometimes, so I'll try the scones.

How about coming over and picking all these crabapples on my trees and make up some jelly.......I so hate to see them go to waste but just can't bother with them right now.......it will be a mess when they all fall off......

boy of boy does that sound so good... I love blueberry anything...can't afford them here... so expensive seriously...so are cherries for some reason... darn!

Luv, can you go to a Costco? I get my berries frozen and just take them out when I want some. A huge bag of  blueberries is like $7.99...way cheaper than the fresh at the local stores.

Aesop, scones don't have to be uniform, that is the charm of home baked goodies...
 
I have a recipe for cranberry/orange scones that is quite similar to the blueberry recipe...I bet you could substitute many different berries for the blueberries...
