And this is in a small hallway near the front door. The difference is I will put coat hooks under and make it twice as functional. It will be similar the photo I am posting and then I plan to make some kind of floating boxes over my tub...maybe.

That is really decorative as well as being useful.  I didn't realize that you had stairs, sun.  I thought it was all on one level.  I like the runners too - you are so artistic.  I think you should start a new profession - interior decorator.  You could make a lot of money just designing and refurbishing interiors.

The builders in my house don't know how to use a level either!!!! It's killing me too to see un level trim above my front door.  So...which level are we talking about here? Level wood or  one level house? LOL
