It hasn't taken very long for the ill thought out Obamacare debacle to start falling on it's face.  Government health care in other countries should have been a warning not to force this on the American people.  It wasn't as if there were no programs here for the poor and uninsured to be able to turn to.  Why did the Canadians come down to the States to have surgeries instead of waiting at home to get them on their government health plans?

The National Health Service in the UK has finally blown up and at crisis level.  It has notably taken a number of years to get to this point, but nevertheless should have been a dire warning to our government not to undergo the gargantuan task of overseeing the health of the entire population.  It would have been better to let each State come up with a health plan for it's occupants - some States already having a satisfactory plan in place.

The facts are, ACA was written by and for the insurance co.'s
It hasn't lowered the cost of sick care either but Medicare was cut
So now the poor get theirs from insurance co.'s instead.

The only good thing that has come from it is those poor can now get
their insurance even with a pre-existing condition/s.

One of the biggest stories of 2014 is the failure of the congress to repeal
or defund it !

Don - I don't know what countries you are talking about - certainly not the UK.  I do have some insight as to what is going on there.  My brothers, sister, other relatives and friends keep me informed.  They actually live it!

The National Health Service or NHS is going broke.  They are spending more than they can afford and as my brother says "the country is going to the dogs" because of it.  The quality of the healthcare has steadily declined over the years to the point where people are dying before they can get treatment.  It is rampant with Doctors from the third world with questionable medical schooling.

If you even read my links it would give you a glimmer of understanding.  It backs up everything I have said. 

Just because you want Obamacare to be a resounding success for all doesn't make it so.   I am not wanting it to fail, but the problems that are appearing with it are ubiquitous.  We should all be very alarmed if this is already in the early stages of going the same way as the UK's NHS.  Even when I lived there, which was a long time ago, the joke which was on everyone's lips is that "you can die for free".

Up until a short time ago the quality of the American health care system was renowned.  At least I am coming from experience of what it was like even back then to receive treatment under government health care with the restrictions imposed and then to emigrate here and compare the difference.

WHAT IT WILL LEAD TO IS A LONG WAIT FOR TWO MINUTES WITH A PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR WITH FAR TOO MANY PATIENTS AND THAT IS NOT BETTER!
