I'm normally AGAINST all prayers in public schools, but not ALWAYS!

A Tucson school district's allowing of ISLAMIC prayers in their public school system just seems right somehow.

"Desert View High School, part of Sunnyside Unified School District, has been permitting Muslim students to pray in school.

Contrary to what many think, the Supreme Court ruling on school prayers in 1962 did not forbid prayer in school. It simply stated that a public school could not force children to pray specific prayers in schools, because that would be an affirmative action of a government entity endorsing a specific religion. The ruling did not forbid students from praying, if they chose to do so."

I believe that everybody who is a politically-progressive, pro-Obama, secular-left-Democrat will APPLAUD this action and encourage other public schools to follow suit.

We have to accept certain Islamic practice, including Sharia Law, if we ever want to extend the hand of friendship to ISIS and to other Muslims like Hamas & Hezbollah.
