Man Hospitalized After Gun Club Shooting Injury in Santa Clarita


A man was hospitalized Friday afternoon after a shooting or gun malfunction at a Santa Clarita Valley gun club, authorities said.
The accidental “shooting injury / gun malfunction” was being investigated at the Oak Tree Gun Club about 4:20 p.m., the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stated on Twitter.

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (KABC) --

            A 23-year-old man was injured at a shooting facility in the Newhall area of Santa Clarita Friday afternoon when a neighboring participant's gun malfunctioned, causing shrapnel to injure the man's ear.

An employee at the gun club said a piece of the cylinder of the gun came off the side and injured the neighboring participant. The actual shooter was not injured and the victim did not suffer any gunshot wounds.

He was transported to a local hospital, but is expected to be fine.

Meanwhile back in Jw's back yard... Chicago...  A mere 80 people were gunshot victims over the 4th of July weekend...Only 14 were killed.
