Some of you act like wind and solar are the only alternative energy sources. Tidal flow is another. Tides and ocean currents never stop. Stop being so childish and acting like their is only one or two method and that research is not ongoing to make current sources more efficient while exploring and developing new sources. Is there anything as stupid as a right winger like Adams? Oh yeah, I guess there are a few more and they are all right wing members of this forum.

That is true wm  The tides are consistent in their coming and going.  But their timing is not consistent with mans timing.  So, again, we have a storage issue, storing power when it is created till when it is needed.  And, we again see location, location, location.  Transportation from where it is generated to where it is used.  It's a long haul from the East West and Southern waters to Minot ND.

There are many ideas but what is viable is another story.   Obama algae for instance isn't making headlines.   Our new energy boon discoveries with natural gas and oil is...   Obama ignores this huge market that will last for centuries because he is a spoiled little brat who whines like a child between what is viably beneficial and what his fantasies say it should be.  Not what America needs with our debt and his lack of competent leadership.

And... Unintended Consequences.

No one has considered the consequences on the Nature of things when we start extracting and relocating large amounts of energy for where the are naturally to where we want them to be, and when we want them to be there.

Environment energy levels that shift according to solar influx.  Wind patterns will be effected.

There is no free ride.  For every action, there is a reaction.  Nature will always maintain a balance, but the process of re-balancing once the current balance is upset can be a horrific process.
