Texas Lt. Governor: We Must Impeach Barack Obama

Impeachment buzz has been surrounding Barack Obama for the past few months.

His administration has been nothing but lies, broken promises, scandals, and disasters since the beginning, and a GOP senator has recently said that if the Republican Party takes the Senate in the midterm elections, they will impeach him.

Allen West has also been calling for the President’s impeachment on multiple grounds. We agree – and the list goes on and on.


 

Not only has he managed to run the least transparent presidency in the history of the United States, but he has embarrassed our country on the international stage to the worst degree. Some wonder if we will ever be able to overcome the foreign policy disasters of the Obama administration.

He’s skipped countless national security briefings, including ones on Benghazi and Ukraine. And a top Democrat has actually confirmed that he used the CIA to spy on Congress.

His actions are over the line and utterly ridiculous. And now another voice has joined the fray – Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst is now calling for Obama’s impeachment as well.

Texas’ incumbent Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst, the second-highest elected official in the state, called Monday night for the impeachment of president Barack Obama at a Tea Party forum for candidates in the lieutenant governor’s race.

“This election is about protecting you and your freedoms, which are given to you by God, but which are being trampled on by Barack Obama right now. I don’t know about you, but Barack Obama ought to be impeached,” Dewhurst said. “Not only for trampling on our liberties, but what he did in Benghazi is just a crime.”

We agree with the Lt. Governor here. Obama has been acting like a dictator ever since he took office in 2008, blatantly lying tot he American public and acting in the opposite interest of so many millions of Americans. He cannot be allowed to continue doing so, and our Constitution supports our right to resist such tyranny.

The facts are clear. Barack Obama has failed in his constitutional responsibility to uphold the Constitution and protect the rights of the American people. On top of that, he has also irreparably damaged America’s international reputation through his numerous foreign policy failures and set our nation back in so many other ways.

There hasn't been any president in the history of the U.S. who deserves impeachment more than Obama.   Not one.   I would rather see his abuse of the separation of powers/Constitution fixed for the future instead with a lawsuit - rather than punishment with impeachment however.   The U.S. comes first over a slap on Obama's face with impeachment.  I'd rather see his abuses stopped in perpetuity rather than have the idiot whipped for simple gratification.
