I am no longer of this world

I am no longer of this world, all that I knew are dead. Only the memories linger, sometimes unbearable but most of the time pleasant. I long for the comfort that old friends bring but they no longer are there. Search what is left, the towns, the neighborhoods, the streets, the houses, all that is left are memories, nothing more. I am looking forward to the day when I will join them once more. Hello Mom, hello Dad, hello Uncles and Aunts, hello friends, where are we.

You have a big problem if you have not continued to make new friends all along rather than just hang onto old friends........I have made more friends in my lifetime than I can count.......each place we move to gives me the opportunity to meet new interesting people of which some become lifelong friends .......time to look outside the box and reach out for new beings around you to befriend...........as Emily said, it is sad that a person has no friends............

No emily it is not me, but I did think it was very thought provoking, and nanna, you have many acquaintances, real friends are far and few.

Good point, Mudslinger.........but I have many true friends also........some from HS  that we stay in contact and those I have met and stay in contact with for over 25 yrs.........I am blessed with many real friends and I have come to realize it more with the cancer scare just how many real friends I do have.....
