Stay safe all you east coasters.  We had our turn last week. 

No big deal?   It isn't if you don't have to go out in it and someone is spoon feeding you, dressing you, cooking your food and waiting on you hand and foot.  It might be a big deal when your power goes out and you can't sit in front of your computer all day.

For those of us who go to work, take care of the house our partners and keep things running - it's a big deal.  Being stuck for hours on a highway is a big deal.  The worst storm in history is a big deal and those that perish because of the storm is a very big deal for their families. 

To dismiss it so lightly is ignorant and unfeeling!

We are down to rain and more rain now, but just for the moment the sun peeked out.   However they are predicting more snow next week.  This has been a strange chain of weather events and very different from other years.

That's a lot of snow, duke - stay safe and warm yourself.

This has been an extreme winter and for us it's coming to an end next week... we finally go up to the 40s and 50s... and it can't come any sooner if you ask me...

I've already put the cost of heating for me on this board..... extreme ain't the word for it... ridiculous  is what I'm saying....that cost has put me and many like me in a stand still... can I move up or can I move down... or do what I'm doing wait it out until it's all over.... next month will be the last of the high heating cost here... so I continue to stress the freak out....ok

Yes I'm used to snow... and I enjoy the cold weather... but negatives temps were not in my equation of like or dislikes....I dislike the extremes of anything....unless somebody gives me an extreme amount of money.... not happening...ok

Don't mean to get spiritually.... but we can expect so many natural disasters coming in the future and being prepared for them is something to talk about to anybody that's listening....

Fires, earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes...  and folks losing everything they worked for years... starting over is all one can do....are you prepared to start over just in case... something no one is really prepares for...and what does it cost...seriously....

With the system of things... help on the way... FEMA.... how long does that last... I mean the actually mindset of it all.... I can't even imagine but if it happens it happens...

Famous words " it is what it is"..... but are we going to be prepared....yes if we keep talking about it...

Funny how they have a whole cable station on the weather for good reason I must say...just to keep us informed...do I get sick of it...no... it keeps me prepared just in case...

No big deal cAss?  I have a 200 foot  long driveway...I'm no spring chicken and I shoveled  this $#*^ for 4 solid hours and I'll be back out there again tomorrow.  Hubby is snowed in at work. I have carpal tunnel in my hands..I will suffer all night long now but it had to be done as it will be down to 20 making it solid ice. Did I mention my driveway is a steep hill?

Yes, I do recall that.

My driveway is about 125 by 20.  We eventually had about 15 inches of snow.

Sun... you better go on Craigslist and pick up a snow blower... save yourself from all that work...... what would take me hours to shovel...only takes 30 minutes or less...10 minutes to get the thing started...it's as simple as using the treadmill and quite refreshing....after it's all done....
