Round 3 coming this afternoon

How do you like my chair cushions?   This was late yesterday afternoon.  Then the ice rain came in and more snow and this morning it was piled so high on the deck we thought we would shovel a path as Hannah did not like that she couldn't move around in it.  No more running in the snow now as it was almost up to her belly and frozen solid.   Nobody is leaving the neighborhood.  We are all snowed in.

and Hannah is becoming my all time favorite....

our snow here is ice...hard ice... feels like bricks of glass.... it's so cold here Emily... when you walk on the snow... you don't leave tracks... you're walking on ice...like in a rink....

and it will be like that until Thursday.... I imagine... when it melts... I'll be glad... and of course my snow out front on the block is the last to go... I don't know why that is... but it is...

This is one of those whacky storms that gives us all reason to pause, breathe, and hunker down for a little bit of inconvenience.  Stay warm, stay inside and this too shall pass.
 
I can remember some horrible winter storms we've had in the past that dumped a foot or more of snow, we lost power for days and were down to heating up canned soup on the BBQ...

Last night there were people stuck on Interstate 5 going through Salem for 4-5 hours.  It only takes someone spinning out and a few crashes to close the whole freeway down. 

Yes luv it felt like we were being hit by shards of glass.  It's been quite an experience as we haven't seen it this bad for a long while.
