No, I made a necklace out of hot glue...set the gun on the low setting then ran a straight line of glue across an expandable clear band that I use for making jewelry...then I used the gun to make the blood drops hanging down and painted it all using a victorian red acrylic paint...
 
To keep it laying flat, we stretched the necklace around a small coffee can, heated it up with a blowdryer, and then let it sit for about a week...so when he put it on, it stayed flat against his neck...
