Back in the days of Japanese rule when Samurai's and all that shit was going on, personal weapons were outlawed and only soldiers had them.

The clever people still had farm tools and other implements used in everyday life, and martial arts were born. They devised masterful ways to defend ones self with out guns because they had no other choice.
No second amendment guaranteeing their rights.
The traditions are centuries old and still very popular today. The drawback is the need for years of dedicated training and practice which many cannot adhere to because of modern lifes demands.
So, we have the same need to self defense and the need to protect our families and property from tyrants, law breakers and government. Which is why I will always carry a gun, and be proficient in it's safe use and storage. No government or entity will ever force me to use farm tools.
