Because GZ pursued and confronted him after he was told he didn't need to do that by the dispatcher. Fight or flight. Right? He tried to keep going, but he was pursued by a creepy dude until he feared for his life and turned around. Unfortunately, GZ wasn't as tough as he thought he was and decided to shoot a youth armed with a bag of skittles and an iced tea. Now answer the question. You answered mine with a question.
