Biden Does NOT need a BILL to close the border
He only needs a PEN. Thats all he needed to open it.
Thats all he needed to close it. Thats all Trump needed.
Maybe this is just Proof Trump is better than Biden.

Rudeness is the weak man's imitation of strength

Boy is it hot here and very windy.  The journey down was so boring - miles and miles of nothing but dust bowls and the first day we escaped we drove 12 hours and then stopped and took the first motel in sight out of sheer exhaustion.  Big mistake staying at a Day's Inn in Lost Hills, but we were so tired we didn't care that the shower head was coming out of the wall and the rug had waves in it that you could trip on, the lampshades were crooked with holes and the mattress was smaller than the bed frame which was solid sharp metal, stuck out and guaranteed to slice your legs on.  More miles and miles of desert before we finally arrived in Vegas at the time share our son arranged.  It is so deluxe that it is the sublime that makes last night ridiculous.  You could have a party in the shower!  We are here for a few days and signed on to the Internet - so expensive but we need to keep track of things.

We are missing our dog so badly but he would not have liked it here - it is far too hot and we needed to get away from home where he is everywhere.   He will be forever in my heart and we will look into another rescue when we are ready.

We will be in Las Vegas for a few days before moving on to Southern California.  Watching our son play in a band tonight and already getting an appetite back for the foods I thought I would never eat again.  Our son and my husband are watching World Cup and then we are going to a buffet - I need to put on a pound or two!

This place has grown so much and is so busy despite over 14% unemployment.  The traffic is a nightmare and everyone drives so fast.  This is not a simple life!

Have fun!!! I had a blast when I went.   Last time I was there it 116 at midnight.   You can have that heat...although compared to here...it was a dry heat. LOL

Just visited the new City Center and Aria Casino.  Huge towers of glass and marble everywhere.  No wonder it took so long to build and running out of money.  How about a $15.00 hamburger?  You wouldn't think the economy was so bad to see all the people around.  I saw more bikinis and tattoos in the Casinos than on the beach - it is a people watcher's paradise.  My mind keeps drifting back to home - I am totally deprogrammed but the distraction is good for us right now.  It is still very windy and hot.  We are going to watch our son's band play tonight - he's a drummer.

I've been in Vegas only once in 1979.  I remember we would go from casino to casino just to be in the air conditioned areas...

My husband and his dad worked there for a month or two back in the 80's...there was no water for work (as drywall finishers, water is rather important)...they would have to buy water to mix their mud.  They were in a KOA campground that cost them more per week to live than we paid for a month's rent.  They finished the project they were on, got paid and skeedaddled home...

Takn - you would really notice the difference here!  The place changes every 6 years according to the shuttle driver at our resort.  He said that where he lives 50% of the houses are in foreclosure and that his home is worth so much less than he paid for it but he is hanging on to his job.  He is considering moving back to LA or Lake Tahoe - I know which I would prefer.

Our son's band is awesome - so many fans and so much talent.  We are not used to being out after 1 am anymore or driving here at night - you have to hesitate at each traffic light in case someone shoots it and at that time half of them on the road are drunk!

I am thoroughly de-programmed at this time!

How many times have you heard,"It is a different kind of heat"?  As a Teen, I lived on Saudi Arabia and have seen temps of 147 degrees of the different kind of heat.  When it is hot, it is hot, regardless of what kind of heat it is.  We would swim in the Red Sea, and upon leaving the water were dry imdeiately.
