HuffPo Poll Finds Fox News Most Believable News Channel…

Filed under: Stories that make libs insane.

Via Newsbusters:

It used to be that whenever an important news story broke, cable television viewers would quickly turn to CNN for must-see coverage of what was happening. However, according to a poll conducted regarding the five-day coverage of the Boston Marathon bombing, that is definitely no longer the case.

The survey, which was conducted by the liberal Huffington Post website and the international marketing agency YouGov, determined that former titan CNN came in as far less trustworthy than Fox News over which was the most believable cable news channel. [...]
Of course, all cable news outlets saw their viewership rise sharply because of their coverage of the bombing and subsequent search for the terrorists behind it.

As a result, 38 percent of the respondents said the channel was “very” or “somewhat” believable, and 21 percent said it was “not very” or “not at all believable.”

Also, MSNBC had no reason to smile since the poll indicated that 42 percent of the people polled “don’t watch” the channel. In addition, the liberal channel fared poorly in the “very” or “somewhat” believable category with 35 percent.

However, the survey brought good news for the Fox News Channel, which had a 50 percent rating in the categories of “very” and “somewhat” believable even though 28 percent of those polled said they don’t watch the cable news outlet, which is far less than its competitors.

online polls are notoriously inaccurate.  a few dedicated knuckleheads can vote over and over and tell their similarly dysfunctional moronic friends to vote over and over and so on.  the facts clearly show that fox is not even a news station, but a paid political propaganda outlet of the
GOP....where do all the repubs with any sort of problem go to get "interviewed" and get lobbed softball questions to put out their own spin.  it's basically a political ad, but for free.  all the repubs get treated with incredible respect, even losers like palin and cheney.  during the last republican run for the 2012 presidency- 4 of the 6 major candidates were PAID BY FOX TO SPEW THEIR OPINIONS RIGHT BEFORE THEY DECIDED TO RUN FOR THE OFFICE.  and you try to act like rational people BELIEVE the bullshit fox spews 24/7?  i will admit that the newscast shep shepard anchors is comparable to any other newscast...a little more conservative spin, but no more than MSNBC or CNN spins a little liberal.  but all of their other shows are pure propaganda.  from their stupid shit fox and friends show right on down the line until shep shepard's show comes on and then their primetime lineup of right wing spin, and total lies, in the case of hannity.  a majority of fox viewers, for example, believe iraq had wmds and that obama was not born in this country.  that is pure right wing delusional bullshit, that fox helps their dumbfuck viewers somehow still believe....

it didn't.  i was assuming it was.....because only an idiot trusts fox, since they lie so much.  they went to court to fight for their right to intentionally lie, and they WON....but here is the kicker...really dedicated right wing losers who hate the truth, like you and other morons that post here, ONLY TRUST FOX.  period.  they will never trust anybody but fox.  period.  sad to say, that is a sizable percentage of any 1000 person sample size.  probably 20%, at least.  those few but sincerely brainwashed idiots will ONLY TRUST FOX.  no matter what the truth is, they WANT to believe the bullshit fox spews, it is why they only listen to fox and rush and breitbart...they want to be lied to.  so take all those numbers- subtract or add that 20% skew, and then you get what normal americans believe.  those that do not automatically believe ANYTHING they see on tv, no matter what the source, who read more than the comics and sports in the paper, who read a news magazine occasionally, who listen to PBS (who in the poll was the only news source that was trusted more than distrusted) to at least be EXPOSED to more than the right wing talking points being spewed by all the right wing propaganda outlets.  and buttridden said, as reported by huffpo....see, dickhead, that shows they REPORT THE NEWS, REGARDLESS OF THE CONSEQUENCES...get it, shithead?  that shows how fair and balanced they are...you goon.

All Yougov's polls are online..... DUH!  From the U.K., no less....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YouGov#Methodology

YouGov's methodology is to obtain responses from an invited group of internet users,

another right wing talking point smashed.  good find, oz.  i didn't check "you gov" or its alleged connection to huff po.  and the headline is a lie- PBS was 10% more believable than Fox...right wing websites even lie about what a poll they are promoting says!!!  and you fuckers believe that bullshit!!

Methodology

YouGov's methodology is to obtain responses from an invited group of internet users, and then to weight these responses in line with demographic information. It draws these demographically-representative samples from a panel of more than 3.3 million people worlwide including 400,000 people in the UK. As YouGov's online methods use no field-force, its costs are lower than some face-to-face or telephone methods.

Media clients of the YouGov Group include The Sun (newspaper), The Times, The Guardian, The Economist, The Huffington Post, BILD, CBS News, Al Aan TV and Samaa TV.

the only connection to huff po is they pay these guys to give them their polling data....

Liberals received some more bad news this week as a new Suffolk University poll revealed that Fox News is the most trusted political news source among those surveyed.

FOX News – 28%
CNN – 18%
Undecided -12%
NBC – 10%
Other -10%
MSNBC — 7%
ABC — 6%
CBS — 6%
C-SPAN — 3%

The news wasn’t so good for MSNBC which finished a distant third to its cable news brethren with just 7% of respondents saying that they trusted the liberal cable news network.

Six months after a terrorist attack on the U.S. diplomatic facility in Benghazi, Libya, survivors of the savagery that left four Americans dead the night of Sept. 11, 2012, still have not been permitted to tell their story in a public forum. So now, lawmakers on Capitol Hill are threatening to subpoena them.

Catherine Herridge, longtime reporter for Fox News, received Accuracy in Media’s Reed Irvine Award for investigative reporting on that scandal. The White House is desperately trying to put a lid on the whole thing, hoping that no one is compelled to testify.
