Beautiful pictures Sunshine............my lilies aren't in bloom yet.  Yours are so colorful.  I loved that you got the humming bird.  I was weeding around the blueberry bushes a week or so ago and I looked up and there was a hummingbird about a foot from my nose and almost still in flight.  If only I had my camera!

Do you use a commercial hummer food or make your own? 
 
I used to use the commercial but the cost is outrageous now...3 little packs for $6?  How dumb is that?
 
So, I started making my own...
1 cup sugar to 3 cups water...bring to a boil, stirring frequently, let cool and I change my juice every week in the Spring, every 3 days as soon as the sun starts shining...
 
I just wish we would see our little friends more often.

At the price of gas heating up water, cost of sugar, labor, heating up the kitchen...who knows. I buy it in a half gallon size poremade and they eat it. I tried the sugar but it draws more ants and then I have to keep putting chemicals on the ground to kill them before they climb the pole.
