NOT ONE of the left's "gun control" measures on the table today would have prevented entirely the shootings in the last year at Newtown or Aurora.
 
A magazine that can hold 7 is legal, but 8 is illegal? Really?
 
Until these idiots approach the actual problem of mental illness and violent human behavior patterns, nothing will change except more attempted infringement upon those who commit NO crimes.

sadie, I believe YOU and others that I know when you tell us that you don't want to disarm us.  I believe you are sincere in wanting to strike a compromise between total gun control and total lack of gun control.

Believe it or not, I used to think as you do.  I used to support gun control.  That was until my eyes were opened by the lies coming from the radical left on too many things.

I do NOT believe the leadership on the left when THEY say all they want is "sensible" gun regulations.  Their actions show they want CONTROL over every aspect of our lives.  Look at all the "nanny state" rules and regulations and laws.  It starts with things that ought to be common sense, like some of the rules regarding where people can smoke.  However, as time has passed, these "nanny state" people have kept intruding farther and farther into our private lives.  Many things they've done MAY have started off with good intentions, but by the time they codify these into law, it's about CONTROL.

I do NOT trust our government, not any more.  It's not just Obama and his people, either.  It started years ago, when Obama was still a minor child.
