Something interesting I did not know and will try is take a blue ribbon and attach to some houses to simulate flapping blue bird wings.

We had heavy hail last night and there is snow all around us...the mountains are supposed to get up to 2 feet, so no telling what we'll come home to tomorrow night...

I guess it's safe to say the groundhog has no credentials in predicting  an early spring.

The passes here are all snowed in and chains required.  Snow is over 1,000 feet today but we are just over 500 feet so won't see any here.  It's nasty, icy rain!

That is a good idea about attracting blue birds except I don't see any of the cute blue birds around here - just big fat blue jays and they are really pretty too but very aggressive when it comes to chasing away all the other little birds.
