The FBI didn't say that either, they only said there has been an decrease in violent crime since 1991.
Actually their chart shows a up turn around 2008, then it decreasing some more.

You post is based on pure conjecture as to what cause the down turn since 1991.
I've even seen conjecture that says Roe V Wade in 1973, correlates with the decrease in violent.  Kids born after that would be reaching the age of young male that commit most violent crimes around 1991.  I don't buy that either, there is a lot more involved.

And once again what I asked you was where did the FBI say hammers kill more people than guns?

The FBI figures show that blunt force kills more than Rifles.  Sine said the FBI said that, hammers kill more than guns.  They in no way said that or even implied that.
There are many more homicides by guns than by blunt force.
Most guns deaths are due to pistols, and most of them are suicides.  Most rifle deaths are accidents. 
That still doesn't justify a mentally ill kid having access to a Bushmaster, and the mother's guns sure didn't make her safe.


I didn't have to look up the questions, I wasn't asked a question.  I already knew the answer because I have looked them up in the past.

Now you fined for me where the FBI said hammers killed more than guns.  Hint rifles and shotguns are not the only guns used in homicide.

I also pointed out that there are more suicides than homicides. and a lot of accidents too.

The FBI actually doesn't have a Hammers and Clubs category it is "Other Weapons"

In the FBI report there isn't even a break down for hammers. by number.

State and federal leaders must address the mental health epidemic by treating the problem, not by eroding or ignoring the Second Amendment.

Taking guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens will not keep our children safe. Keeping guns out of the wrong hands will.

I would think the standard of "involuntary institutionalization" is the trigger that gets your name on the list of mental deficients that can't buy guns.   It's not going to be easy to change such laws because of HIPAA/doctor - patient confidentiality laws.
