I think that tattoos can go overboard - especially when you see bodies covered from head to toe in them.  Aren't they awfully expensive?   There's always a guy on a street corner downtown with a "Help" sign and he has tattoos all over his arms.
 
I like Taylor Swift - she is cute and some of her songs and lyrics (which she writes herself) are a bit repetitive like "never ever" but when you listen to the words of others they are quite clever.  "Speak now" for example and "Never grow up".

Emily, my older son calls his body a "canvas"...ugh...
 
He has sleeved out, has tats on his chest, back and legs...too much for me...when he first started getting them, he knew I didn't like them and I think it was his act of defiance, but he has some really cool artwork...so I had to shut up and simply ask him for a favor...that he have nothing on his neck, face or head. 
 
He keeps threatening to have "MOM" put on his arm, but I told him please...no, no, no...LOL

Takn - you can't really stop the kids doing what they want to do once they are of that age and so many of them have tattoos.  Role models like David Beckham make it all the inviting.  I guess you should count yourself lucky that he didn't have the face and head tattoos.  There's a lady over at the retirement estate where I sometimes go to help out that has her legs covered from ankle to knee in tattoos.   It hides the varicose veins - they just blend in LOL!
