Actually, it's probably the first time I've ever heard a hurdy gurdy at all...
 
That is one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time.  I have a sister-in-law who plays the harpsichord and the sound is similar but this instrument is so unique...

I heard a guy on the radio playing one of these and making it sound like an organ - I missed his name and wanted to hear more but found these instead.
