Biden Does NOT need a BILL to close the border
He only needs a PEN. Thats all he needed to open it.
Thats all he needed to close it. Thats all Trump needed.
Maybe this is just Proof Trump is better than Biden.

I didn't like Bush, but I do support his war against the murderous tyrant Saddam Hussein, even if you didn't care that he murdered his own people. And I support his torturing those who they themselves tortured innocent civilians, even if it didn't bother you.

We can both play that childish game.. So try sticking to the Topic... if you can..

So, by all means why don't you post the proof you found on Google, or in a blog, or wherever it is you get your far stretched information??   This guy showed his experiment and his data. Now you do the same...

I promise, we have plenty of room for your "Expert Proof."

Poor stupid Liberals, they don't even comprehend the meaning of the thread. It's not about which light bulb is more efficient you idiots, it's about not being given a choice to make our own decisions. That is the crux of the thread.

In 2007, one "expert", still hailed by some as a hero, said:

"We believe the effect of the troubles in the subprime sector on the broader housing market will be limited and we do not expect significant spillovers from the subprime market to the rest of the economy or to the financial system."

So, you can keep your "experts".

I STUPIDLY bought some of those CFL's.  No more; they are overpriced and do NOT last as long as they are supposed to.  Plus, they are considered to be TOXIC WASTE when they burn out.

Are you aware that if you BREAK one, you are supposed to have a HAZ-MAT TEAM come and dcontaminate your home?

I have a stockpile of the good old-fashioned light bulbs, and will continue using them.  Once the CFL's that I do have are gone, I will buy no more.

Its funny watching you go off onto intermixed tirades and rants whose "threads" never meet up, but instead you rely on the tangled mess to disguise it in the hopes of somehow making them form into the same argument.  Nice try, but I can only give you a 5.  Sorry, but I've seen that act before...

total bullshit, jtopp.  seriously.  what a stooge you are.  did you ever have a mercury thermometer in your house when you were born in the 19th century?  did your parents have to call a haz mat team if you broke a freaking thermometer?  a typical thermometer had 3 grams of mercury...a typical CFL has 5mgs!!!!  get it?  3 grams versus 5/1000ths of a gram.  did you freak out about mercury thermometers?  there is more mercury in tuna fish than in CFLs....

Thermometers

The amount of mercury in a thermometer is very small, usually up to 3.0g (less than one-eighth of an ounce). Mercury thermometers are being phased out.

It’s a zombie myth that just won’t stay down: Compact Fluorescent Lamps contain toxic mercury. There is about as much truth to that statement as there is mercury in CFLS — which is to say, trace amounts. CFLs do contain mercury, but in quantities so small that breaking one exposes you, in most cases, to less mercury than eating tuna fish (see below). We consulted the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency* and contacted a lighting specialist from General Electric in order to take on the issue of mercury in CFLs.

How does mercury help produce light in CFLs?

CFLs are glass tubes that are filled with argon gas and mercury vapor. When an electric current passes through the tube, the mercury emits ultraviolet light that excites a phosphor coating on the tube. The coating then emits light.

Are we talking about high levels of mercury?

No. And the amount of mercury in CFLs has dropped steadily since they first made inroads into the market 15-20 years ago. As recently as 2007, CFLs contained about 5 milligrams, enough to cover a ballpoint pen tip. Since then, regulations in the European Union, which have also been adopted in California and other areas, have mandated that the amount of mercury in CFLs be limited to 3.5 mg by 2012 and 2.5 mg by 2013.

GE spiral CFLs use an even smaller amount: 0.8-0.9 mg of mercury. Sándor Lukács, the CFL systems manager for GE Appliance & Lighting, said the company decided to rapidly cut the mercury content of its CFLS in the 1990s. “To put it in perspective,” Lukács said, “when I was a little child, I had a thermometer that had 1,000 times more mercury than the current CFLs.”

you still don't comprehend do you ho boy. it's about being denied the choice you idiot. Nanny state Liberalism/Marxism deciding what I can or cannot buy. As for your BS about the dangers of CFL's, here's the procedures from the EPA. http://epa.gov/cfl/cflcleanup.html
