Can you imagine Detroit in the Dark?  Public Safety is too expensive I guess.

But urban beautification programs cannot be cut to fund public safety!

Everybody wants to cut spending, but nobody wants to cut their pet projects or services. If the city is shrinking, how many empty blocks do you need to light?

How about reducing regulation and taxation to attract businesses and workers to the community instead of conducting a never ending jihad against the productive?

When you dole out millions in welfare and sustainment to those not working (maybe their fault, maybe not) usually the first things to go is police (?) fire (?) and other city services.

My home town is a shambles thanks to liberal democrat policies.
