Biden Does NOT need a BILL to close the border
He only needs a PEN. Thats all he needed to open it.
Thats all he needed to close it. Thats all Trump needed.
Maybe this is just Proof Trump is better than Biden.

Now for the FIRST frickin' LIE Whittle just told in this little ditty of his, here is George W. Bush saying -- in his own words in front of the crew of the Abraham Lincoln and the whole rest of the world -- that "major combat operations in Iraq have ended. And in the battle of Iraq the United States and our allies have prevailed."

Without actually using the phrase "Mission Accomplished" that is still the message George W. Bush tried to put over using snynonymous words. He stated that the mission had accomplished, but saying that major combat operations were over and that the US and he allies had prevailed -- "prevailed" being a word which means "won." And he said it right in front of that big banner which gives the same impression as his speech.

He did NOT as Whittle claims say "just the opposite," in fact what he said was just the same in meaning:

"About
“Mission Accomplished” is a sarcastic catchphrase stemming from the infamous banner sign displayed in the background during former President
George W. Bush’s speech onboard USS  Abraham Lincoln, where he announced the end of major military combats in Iraq.
Already having suffered several bouts of global anti-war protests, pictures of Bush delivering his speech in front of the banner quickly became a popular subject of online parodies and symbol of public skepticism towards the Bush administration’s handling of the war.
Origin

On May 1, 2003, during the midst of United States military actions in the Middle East, President George W. Bush arrived on the aircraft carrier
USS
Abraham Lincoln to give a speech about the success of the military operations in Iraq. It was delivered in front of a large banner, adorned in an American flag motif, with the words “Mission Accomplished”. His speech, along with the banner, suggested that the war efforts in Iraq were complete.

In the weeks following his speech, however, hostilities in the area continued to escalate, with number of US military casualties eventually exceeding the figures prior to May 2003. Many pundits started to joke about the presence and true meaning of the “Mission Accomplished” sign and speech, using it as a point to attack the Bush policy on the war, and even within the administration, many officials pointed fingers to shift the blame and downplay what the message “Mission Accomplished” had really meant. Popular TV media personalities, such as Stephan Colbert and Jon Stewart, parodied the sign as well as his speech. The effect was a very long tail, continuing to appear throughout the rest of Bush’s Presidency.

Spread & Usage

Since gaining widespread recognition as one of the most
FUBAR
moments in Bush presidency, the phrase “mission accomplished” has been sarcastically referenced to imply that either mission of dubious value was completed, or that a major error was made. The meme is used both in prose and in altered graphics, typically with the original “Mission Accomplished” banner, or a similar text-style with the same red, white, and blue pomp used.

The catchphrase is perhaps best suited for commentaries on national political events, but it can be applied at any level. There is also a counter-use of the phrase “Mission Accomplished” usually referred to any success tied to President Barrack Obama’s administration, contrasting the drastic change of U.S. Government politics between the two presidencies by actually using “Mission Accomplished” in its literal sense.

The image(s) of Bush in front of the banner on the carrier can be also considered an exploitable upon which to build on.

Bill Whittle quoted George Bush's actual words,  yet you, of course, know what Bush "really meant."
How silly it would be for us to believe Bill Whittle instead of you..

But hey, with all that cut & paste, we can't say you didn't try...

what a lying fool you are, jim.  bush and cheney both thought it was going to be a cakewalk...that is why they were willing to lie about how dangerous hussein was in order to get enough support to do it.  remember the "soldiers will be greeted with flowers and chocolate" statement from dickless cheney?  how it would take 6 months at the most for us to do the job and get out?  they were right, hussein and his army were pitiful...but is that really how we decide to put our soldiers at risk- by how puny the threat is?  can you imagine what kind of world right wingers must live in when they bitch and moan 24/7 about obama after we all lived through the complete devastation of this country that occurred under war criminal bush?  how do they put the monumental economic and military failures of bush behind them so easily and yet focus like lasers on every tiny flaw they might find in Obama?  it is simply amazing.  they somehow live in an alternate reality connected to the outside world by the lies and bullshit they receive each day from fox and rush and other propaganda outlets of the GOP.

I posted a video of George bush himself saying his own actual words instead of them being presented by that light-weight moron you seem to be so enamored of.

And i provided the text of the words GWB spoke in that video. Plus the fact I understand the English language and the meaning of words even if you don't.

But here read the speech for yourself, especially the parts where he puts victory in the past as if it had already been accomplished.  The first passage underlined text is the text I quoted.  The bold face text is the text of Bush's statements indicating the objectives of the war (length of this grand war of which he spoke as if completed, finished, over, done and won: 41 days):

"
Be seated, please. Thank you. Thank you all very much.

Admiral Kelly, Captain Card, officers and sailors of the USS Abraham Lincoln, my fellow Americans: Major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed.
And now our coalition is engaged in securing and reconstructing that country.

In this battle, we have fought for the cause of liberty, and for the peace of the world. Our nation and our coalition are proud of this accomplishment -- yet, it is you, the members of the United States military, who achieved it. Your courage, your willingness to face danger for your country and for each other, made this day possible. Because of you, our nation is more secure. Because of you, the tyrant has fallen, and Iraq is free.

Operation Iraqi Freedom was carried out with a combination of precision and speed and boldness the enemy did not expect, and the world had not seen before. From distant bases or ships at sea, we sent planes and missiles that could destroy an enemy division, or strike a single bunker. Marines and soldiers charged to Baghdad across 350 miles of hostile ground, in one of the swiftest advances of heavy arms in history. You have shown the world the skill and the might of the American Armed Forces.

This nation thanks all the members of our coalition who joined in a noble cause. We thank the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom, Australia, and Poland, who shared in the hardships of war. We thank all the citizens of Iraq who welcomed our troops and joined in the liberation of their own country. And tonight, I have a special word for Secretary Rumsfeld, for General Franks, and for all the men and women who wear the uniform of the United States: America is grateful for a job well done.

The character of our military through history -- the daring of Normandy, the fierce courage of Iwo Jima, the decency and idealism that turned enemies into allies -- is fully present in this generation. When Iraqi civilians looked into the faces of our servicemen and women, they saw strength and kindness and goodwill. When I look at the members of the United States military, I see the best of our country, and I'm honored to be your Commander-in-Chief.

In the images of falling statues, we have witnessed the arrival of a new era. For a hundred of years of war, culminating in the nuclear age, military technology was designed and deployed to inflict casualties on an ever-growing scale. In defeating Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan, Allied forces destroyed entire cities, while enemy leaders who started the conflict were safe until the final days. Military power was used to end a regime by breaking a nation.

Today, we have the greater power to free a nation by breaking a dangerous and aggressive regime. With new tactics and precision weapons, we can achieve military objectives without directing violence against civilians. No device of man can remove the tragedy from war; yet it is a great moral advance when the guilty have far more to fear from war than the innocent.

In the images of celebrating Iraqis, we have also seen the ageless appeal of human freedom. Decades of lies and intimidation could not make the Iraqi people love their oppressors or desire their own enslavement. Men and women in every culture need liberty like they need food and water and air. Everywhere that freedom arrives, humanity rejoices; and everywhere that freedom stirs, let tyrants fear.

We have difficult work to do in Iraq. We're bringing order to parts of that country that remain dangerous. We're pursuing and finding leaders of the old regime, who will be held to account for their crimes. We've begun the search for hidden chemical and biological weapons and already know of hundreds of sites that will be investigated. We're helping to rebuild Iraq, where the dictator built palaces for himself, instead of hospitals and schools. And we will stand with the new leaders of Iraq as they establish a government of, by, and for the Iraqi people.

The transition from dictatorship to democracy will take time, but it is worth every effort. Our coalition will stay until our work is done. Then we will leave, and we will leave behind a free Iraq.

The battle of Iraq is one victory in a war on terror that began on September the 11, 2001 -- and still goes on. That terrible morning, 19 evil men -- the shock troops of a hateful ideology -- gave America and the civilized world a glimpse of their ambitions. They imagined, in the words of one terrorist, that September the 11th would be the "beginning of the end of America." By seeking to turn our cities into killing fields, terrorists and their allies believed that they could destroy this nation's resolve, and force our retreat from the world. They have failed.

In the battle of Afghanistan, we destroyed the Taliban, many terrorists, and the camps where they trained. We continue to help the Afghan people lay roads, restore hospitals, and educate all of their children. Yet we also have dangerous work to complete. As I speak, a Special Operations task force, led by the 82nd Airborne, is on the trail of the terrorists and those who seek to undermine the free government of Afghanistan. America and our coalition will finish what we have begun.

From Pakistan to the Philippines to the Horn of Africa, we are hunting down al Qaeda killers. Nineteen months ago, I pledged that the terrorists would not escape the patient justice of the United States. And as of tonight, nearly one-half of al Qaeda's senior operatives have been captured or killed.

The liberation of Iraq is a crucial advance in the campaign against terror. We've removed an ally of al Qaeda, and cut off a source of terrorist funding. And this much is certain: No terrorist network will gain weapons of mass destruction from the Iraqi regime, because the regime is no more.

Read the rest here because the whole thing exceeds 8500 characters:

Operation Iraqi Freedom, in which a combined force of troops from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Poland invaded Iraq and toppled the regime of Saddam Hussein in 21 days of major combat operations.

Most of the Iraqi military was quickly defeated and Baghdad was occupied on 9 April. Other operations occurred against pockets of the Iraqi army including the capture and occupation of Kirkuk on 10 April, and the attack and capture of Tikrit on 15 April. Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and the central leadership went into hiding as the coalition forces completed the occupation of the country. On 1 May an end of major combat operations was declared.

The invasion was swift, leading to the collapse of the Iraqi government and the military of Iraq in about three weeks. The oil infrastructure of Iraq was rapidly seized and secured with limited damage in that time. Securing the oil infrastructure was considered of great importance. In the Gulf War, while retreating from Kuwait, the Iraqi army had set many oil wells on fire in an attempt to disguise troop movements and to distract Coalition forces. Before the 2003 invasion, Iraqi forces had mined some 400 oil wells around Basra and the Al-Faw peninsula with explosives. Coalition troops launched an air and amphibious assault on the Al-Faw peninsula during the closing hours of 19 March to secure the oil fields there; the amphibious assault was supported by warships of the Royal Navy, Polish Navy, and Royal Australian Navy.

British 3 Commando Brigade, with the United States Marine Corps' 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and the Polish Special Forces unit GROM attached, attacked the port of Umm Qasr. There they met with heavy resistance by Iraqi troops. A total of 14 Coalition troops and 30–40 Iraqi troops were killed, and 450 Iraqis taken prisoner. The British Army's 16 Air Assault Brigade also secured the oil fields in southern Iraq in places like Rumaila while the Polish commandos captured offshore oil platforms near the port, preventing their destruction. Despite the rapid advance of the invasion forces, some 44 oil wells were destroyed and set ablaze by Iraqi explosives or by incidental fire. However, the wells were quickly capped and the fires put out, preventing the ecological damage and loss of oil production capacity that had occurred at the end of the Gulf War.

In keeping with the rapid advance plan, the U.S. 3rd Infantry Division moved westward and then northward through the western desert toward Baghdad, while the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force moved along Highway 1 through the center of the country, and 1 (UK) Armoured Division moved northward through the eastern marshland.

During the first week of the war, Iraqi forces fired a Scud missile at the American Battlefield Update Assessment center in Camp Doha, Kuwait. The missile was intercepted and shot down by a Patriot missile seconds before hitting the complex. Subsequently, two A-10 Warthogs bombed the missile launcher.

Three weeks into the invasion, US-led Coalition forces moved into Baghdad. Units of the Iraqi Special Republican Guard led the defence of the city. The rest of the defenders were a mixture of Republican Guard units, regular army units, Fedayeen Saddam, and non-Iraqi Arab volunteers. Initial plans were for Coalition units to surround the city and gradually move in, forcing Iraqi armor and ground units to cluster into a central pocket in the city, and then attack with air and artillery forces.

This plan soon became unnecessary, as an initial engagement of armored units south of the city saw most of the Republican Guard's assets destroyed and routes in the southern outskirts of the city occupied. On 5 April, Task Force 1–64 Armor of the U.S. Army's 3rd Infantry Division executed a raid, later called the "Thunder Run", to test remaining Iraqi defenses, with 29 tanks and 14 Bradley armored fighting vehicles advancing to the Baghdad airport. They met heavy resistance, but were successful in reaching the airport. U.S. troops faced heavy fighting in the airport, and were even temporarily pushed out, but eventually secured the airport.

The next day, another brigade of the 3rd Infantry Division attacked into downtown Baghdad and occupied one of the palaces of Saddam Hussein in fierce fighting. U.S. Marines also faced heavy shelling from Iraqi artillery as they attempted to cross a river bridge, but the river crossing was successful. The Iraqis managed to inflict some casualties on the U.S. forces near the airport from defensive positions but suffered severe casualties from air bombardment. Within hours of the palace seizure and with television coverage of this spreading through Iraq, U.S. forces ordered Iraqi forces within Baghdad to surrender, or the city would face a full-scale assault. Iraqi government officials had either disappeared or had conceded defeat, and on 9 April 2003, Baghdad was formally occupied by Coalition forces.
