Of all days...why today...?

I took my truck to the oil change place for a service and fuel filter change...and they broke the fuel line!  I wasted over 2 hours while the mechanic tried to find parts and then had to get a ride home...now trying to get my rental car pickup moved up so I can go to work...still trying to get packed so I can leave first thing in the AM for the funeral...about 13 hour drive ahead...
 
Why of all days, when I needed to get my banking done, get groceries so the guys will have things on hand for the weekend and still needed to buy a new pair of black pumps...did this have to happen?

I think it's called Murphy's Law, although I never quite understood the full meaning of it!

My husband had to pick up the truck...they did a "temp" fix because the parts never made it...so he had to take today off so he get it worked.  I'm disappointed in the rental car, don't have much choice though.  Had to get what was convenient because we live nowhere near a metro area that could offer more.  The car is called an "intermediate" but it's no more than a compact...no cruise, no power locks, no nothing-they didn't wash it, the seats have stains, all of which I noted on my contract...it will get me there, but I told them I can't believe what they are charging for what they are giving...I also wrote a letter to the corporate office last night and expressed my disappointment in how they classify their cars...I don't normally make long trips w/out a little comfort, even if this is an emergency trip, you had to be taken advantage of.
 
But I'm off...see ya
