no, dumbass.  most guys who actually use assault weapons that have selector switches use them in combat or in an assault type action in the assault weapon mode that assault weapons normal people want banned, semi-auto.  only an idiot wants to waste shots and lose accuracy firing in full auto.  punk.  An assault weapon is any weapon that can accept a high capacity clip, fire as many shots as that high capacity clip can hold as fast as you can pull the trigger, which means about 30 rounds in less than 10 seconds for most people who are not as clumsy and wimpy as you boys, and then be reloaded with another high capacity clip in a matter of seconds and fire 30 more rounds until everybody in the room is dead, like the loon did to the roomful of 20 grade school kids and their teachers in Connecticut.

You are the dumb ass here short round. You are calling a semi auto an assault weapon.

Just quit lying. Assault weapons are already banned. Just admit your goal is to ban semi-autos.

Polls Show Americans Reject “Assault Weapons” Ban





Just as anti-gun advocates are happily misconstruing the Supreme Court’s recent decision not to hear a case challenging a local ban on popular semi-automatic firearms as pointing to a way forward for gun control, available evidence shows that the American people reject such measures in record numbers.
Last week we brought attention to a New York Times/ CBS News poll conducted December 4-8, which asked, “do you favor or oppose a nationwide ban on assault weapons?”

 Only 44-percent of respondents supported a new ban, while 50-percent opposed. Support for a ban was down more than 30-percent, from a high of 76-percent observed in an August 1999 CBS poll.



This week, ABC News and the Washington Post had more bad news for gun controllers. A poll conducted for the two news outlets on December 13, asked survey takers, “would you support or oppose a law requiring a nationwide ban on the sale of assault weapons? Do you feel that way strongly or somewhat?” 45-percent of respondents answered that they support such a ban, while a majority – 53-percent stand opposed.
