Just got called away to rescue the food bank truck...dead battery, so I ran over w/ the hubby's battery charger...
 
Turns out, someone switched out batteries from all three vehicles, so three, nasty old batteries...at least they were "kind enough" to reinstall them. 
 
Now we'll have to shell out some sheckels to replace them...what's wrong w/ people? 
 
So, just asking for a little prayer that the charger does the trick to help tide us over till the director can get all three serviced and replaced.

3 new batteries, from our local Les Schwab store.  After the theft,  my hubby made a suggestion that the director speak w/ his manager buddy to find out if they had any good reconditioned batteries that we could get, and he was offered new ones at a discount.  I went in this morning to find that the trucks are back in top shape.  The Les Schwab even did a free tire rotation and brake check.  Made getting out in the cold to do pickups less nerve wracking...

Thought I would stop in here while I was posting to Linny. Good of you and your hubby --got this taken care of. Maybe you thought of this too.......doesn't it take a release inside the vehicle to open the hood? If trucks are kept locked? would someone have had a key? Hope not an inside job...?!
