Title: "<!--session data-->" after all my posts.
Post by: colfax on 10 25, 10, 02:17:42:PM
I am using Firefox 3 for my web browser. Every post I make to this board is followed by a "<!--session data-->" string. I am convinced this has something to do with my Firefox since when I use another web browser here, the problem goes away.

What  perplexes me is some other users here use Firefox too, but don't have this problem. Thus I suspect my Firefox settings are at fault. If anyone here could suggest a Firefox setting change to eliminate this problem, I would certainly appreciate it.

Does it happen on other boards on which you post?  That may be a clue.

I stopped using Firefox for a while, using K-meleon instead (and which I sometimes still use) which is also based on the Mozilla engine.  The problem was how incredibly slowly Firefox rendered pages.  My virus scanner wasn't the problem, although deactivating it (!) speeded it up a hair.  I fiddled with the code, as per web recommendations, to no avail.

Eventually, I downloaded an ad-blocker add-on and it became the Firefox of old.

So, disable add-ons, check whatever firewalls and scanners you have, and try the Mozilla help area.
