Title: Book recommendation Post by: takncarabizniz on 03 04, 22, 04:06:50:PM WWV recommended a movie on the current events board, called The Shack...
I always choose to read the books these movies are based on, and wanted to read the book first this time. It is available on audio book, which I now prefer and it's an incredible story, in my review at the library, I wrote this...A fictionalized journey of faith, brought on by events no one should have to bear. Engaging, tender, traumatic, and profound. As I listened, it reminded me of Dicken's A Christmas Carol, as the fellowship of each embodied spirit taught Mack to find himself, see inside himself, and to live again... I highly recommend it...for anyone, whether a person of faith, or not. Title: Re: Book recommendation Post by: emilyB on 03 05, 22, 03:15:03:PM That sounds like it would do me a lot of good. I am presently hooked on the Maisie Dobbs series by Jacqueline Winspear. There are about 17 in all and I hunted them all down in used book stores and have them piled up. I was on No. 11 when all this stuff with my eyes started but I'm determined to finish.
