I do all shopping for the family.  For three adults.

My typical grocery store receipt shows 35-55% savings - some combination of sale prices and coupons.

So, yes, I see some price increases.

Shortages?  In a few product categories.  But, there is still TP.  I expect the supply chain problems to work themselves out.

Because I'm a bargain hunter, recent price hikes haven't hurt.

Mariano's is a Kroger brand store.  Got their cc and preferred buyer program.  I get discounted gasoline, store-centric deals and $20 to $50 every quarter bonuses.  Our needs are simple, but will purchase higher end stuff, if the deal is good.  So far, our food budget is still pretty steady.

I don't shop Wal-Mart.  Not really a great deal.  Limited selection.  Two miles further away. 

Same for Meijer and Target, and they're five miles further away.



how about the Dollar Store?  their new "dollar" is actually $1.25.

We have not been stocked normal all year. Prices are higher.

I shop at Safeway and also Roths Market and they are a 6 minute drive away.  I'm named the Coupon Queen by my family as every Wednesday I go online to get the upcoming sales and click on all the 'bargains'.  It really helps the budget.  The Dollar Tree is one block on and they actually accept coupons although I've never tried to give them one.  They have a big selection of Hallmark greetings cards which at a regular store usually run $4.95 on up.  Having no sales tax in my State is a huge help too.  Being careful was taught to me by my Mum.

I signed up for Safeway and Fred Meyer's website with my loyalty card and now try to go there weekly to add the "digital coupons" that used to make me so angry that I would see in the store and was told, sorry, you only get that price with the digital plan, LOL.

I still clip coupons, still bargain hunt and still shop multiple stores.

I am pretty pissed that they intend to remain the Dollar Store...it's not...they're perpetrating a falsehood, LOL

the local Jewel Food/Osco Dugs store is a Safeway branded store.  Had my flu and pneumonia shots at the Osco and got a 10% shopping trip coupon for Jewel.
