I live near a big retirement complex with all kinds of stages of living - independent, assisted care, full care, etc.  The grounds are beautiful with a  large duck pond and at normal times we can walk our dog Hannah around there but the roads are all shut down and it is all restricted since COVid 19.  I have missed seeing the dozens of baby ducks born there this Spring.  However I get a glance sometimes but can't stop.  I now run errands for people in the big assisted care building that can't get out and make trips on their own for doctors' appointments etc. and essentials.  I feel like I'm in a surreal world.  I go to the building to deliver whatever stuff, call on an outside phone and a masked person comes to collect whatever I have at arms
length.  Today I go to the library to pick up some phoned in orders from some of the inhabitants.  I have strict instructions to stay in my car in the library parking lot at the appointed time, call them and  a person will come out and place the orders on a table in the parking lot.  Wait until that person goes back inside and then retrieve the books/DVD's from the table and leave.  I am wondering if we will ever get back to normal

It truly is surreal.

I only go to Walmart and Lowe's and our grocery store. Nothing seems much different than people have to wear a mask. I've been doing what I always do. Except... I can't shop at Kohl's and places like that. Parking lots still empty.

Our kids arrived 2 days early, and it's just like my mother always said, with so many children...house full of boys, house full of noise...

These little guys have two speeds, full throttle and done, LOL

But we have a week off work and nothing else matters at this point.
