Title: The rain
Post by: emilyB on 04 12, 19, 10:50:06:AM
Finally we are supposed to get a little relief today.  The rivers here south of Salem and elsewhere have spilled over and flooded so many places.  It beat down so hard this week and now we have a leak in the motor home.  Luckily it was in the bathroom that the roof leaked.  Just hope our roof holds up as we're looking towards getting a new one pretty soon.

Oh man...you guys need a break.  We got 57 inches of rain last year...mostly since September.

And in the mid-west, they had floods last week, blizzards this week.

We've had rain non-stop as well, but thankfully, no damage.

Here's hoping the motorhome leak is small and the repairs hold.

The parks where we used to walk Hannah in Salem are all flooded.  I say used to, because so many of them have been taken over by homeless camps.

The Willamette Valley is waterlogged and the Willamette River is now above flood stage.  Hopefully this break today will help.

Oregon has been hit so hard.  We've been getting a lot of rain, but no flooding yet.  Of course, I can't get anything done in the wetlands because the mower just bogs down, today it's been so windy, we opted to get  all the grocery shopping and errands done instead.

Tomorrow my new washer and dryer show up so I can finally get the kitties litter box set up in there, and reclaim my office to its formerly stink free level, LOL.

We had a couple hours of dry this morning and hubby was up the ladder and on the roof of the motorhome with sealant.  I was so scared he was going to slip.  We had only light rain for the rest of the day and heard the rivers are going down a bit, thank goodness.

Wild storm last night around 1 am...some damage in the neighborhood...mangled fences and ripped off siding...shingles. All looks good here...clean up done. Schools are closed around here too.
