A Kentucky teenager sued CNN on Tuesday for defamation, saying the cable network falsely conveyed to viewers that he was the "face of an unruly hate mob"
confronting a Native American activist at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington in January.

The lawsuit, filed on behalf of Covington Catholic High School student Nicholas Sandmann in federal court in Kentucky, seeks $275 million in compensatory and
punitive damages over the videotaped incident in the nation's capital.

Sandmann and other Covington Catholic students had been in Washington to attend a March for Life anti-abortion rally.

In photos and videos that went viral from the incident, Sandmann is seen standing face to face with Native American activist Nathan Phillips. Sandmann stares
and smiles at Phillips while Phillips sings and plays his drum.

The footage sparked outrage on social media, with many viewers saying that Sandmann and a group of fellow students seen gathered around Phillips appeared
to be mocking the activist.

Hopefully CNN takes a hit for broadcasting a misleading story, maligning a child and a school, and then doubling down on it.

Nope.  CNN, Washington Post, MSNBC, The View, etc., are really really hateful and want to destroy anyone that supports Trump and will perpetuate lies in order to accomplish that.  Sandmann was an innocent victim of their hatred.  He is just trying to send them a message that they can't get away with their dishonest hateful agenda without consequences anymore.

Except at the time of the incident, and for many weeks after, it was all anyone could talk about. Not just on the streets of in the Forums. But on the VIEW, on Late Night comedy shows, on 60 Minutes, all around the World! 
 
Maybe you have a short memory, but this kid WILL live the rest of his life in infamy. He will always be followed by the words, "wait a minute, aint you the kid that..."

Any future employer or college admissions board would search his name on the internet, and guess what will pop up?  The media intentionally and falsely destroyed his reputation.  How does one get that back?  The only way is by getting a high profile retribution, where the primary story about Sandmann was how he was unfairly treated by the hate Trump media.

The Judge/Jury could double/triple the punitive damages!!!

This will be a tough lesson for the people/organizations that demonized the minors and tried to ruin their lives.

Yes, it would pop up and there would be vindication.  No harm done.

No, there was no intent to harm, and everything corrected as soon as the longer video showed up.
