Title: The deer are spoiled...
Post by: takncarabizniz on 02 16, 19, 09:57:11:PM
During this snow disaster, our deer family Nikki, Tiki, and LaLa showed up a few times and it was incredibly difficult to feed them, because with 40" of snow, when you toss apple pieces out to them, they pretty much get lost...so, I started leaving their treats in the pathway we made around the house ...and this is where I found them this morning...waiting for breakfast, LOL.

Spoiled rotten!

How cute they are.  Aren't you going to build a little house for them so they don't freeze.  They're family now.

Reminds me of our feral cat... I would toss her some food in the path. So sweet to see those deer waiting.

LOL emily, don't tempt me.

Every time I would see the litte guys out there shivering, I would tell the hubby, I wish I had a bale of hay, I would set it up for them under the cover of the trees, and he just laughed.  But I have several spots that the deer already frequent, that I plan to clean out and actually hay or plant mosses so they can have some bed-down areas.  One of the neighbors up the road, has been hosting the fawn births for decades, says the does always return there because they have an old wood shed and cedar grove that he keeps cleared for them as a "nursery".
