Definitely not one of the charismatic politicians we were used to, but then business acumen didn't necessarily come with the charisma either.  Perfection isn't going to happen unless you know something to the contrary.

with the dough his family left him, it is estimated if he had just invested that in a prudent manner all these years, and not had so many bankruptcies and 19 failed businesses and the like, he would be much richer today than he is now and it would be liquid assets, not speculative depending on what he might get for any properties if he had to sell them off.
