Surgery went well, early morning, but I was home by 10:30 am

Now just to rest.

Glad to hear it went well, takn.  You're going to find it hard to rest this time of year, but you must try.  Have a lovely Christmas with the family.

My son is doing the cooking, my husband is doing the cleaning, and I get to cuddle baby and give big brother rides on my knee scooter.
The pain has been tolerable, though it's been intense at times.  I was given oxycodone, and my daughter-in-law, who is a nurse is keeping close tabs on me.

Tough for me to sit still, but I want to heal quickly and correctly, so I'm trying to be a good girl.

That must be so hard for you to keep still, but looks like you're surrounded by the perfect care keepers.

I am already tired of healing, LOL.

Being at work helped with the boredom, but my body is sore from using a knee scooter and walking funny.  I see the doc again at the end of January.  She said we'll "discuss" a walking boot at that time, but sheesh, it's not my cup of tea.

I should be out cleaning up all the downed limbs and debris from all the windstorms, but at least I can hobble around the house and do laundry, cooking and baking.  Made a blueberry bundt cake this morning for hubby to take for work, he has weekend OT again.

I will say that my foot looks surprisingly decent for what it's been through.  The bruising is almost gone, I've managed to wash off most of the orange iodine look and the wound is clean and looks normal (no red anywhere.)  I am still swollen, but then again, I have to exercise to stave off clots, so I suspect that will last a while longer.
