Post by: luvtimes on 08 20, 18, 06:45:44:PM
I would say fall but since fall is only a week-long here... winter may start the second week in September... and boy will I be glad...

It was in the cool 80's today but the 90's are forecast for the next couple of days.  When is it ever going to really cool down?

We'll be up in the 80s through at least Thursday...but it's the smoke and haze that's most bothersome.

I just can't imagine living in an area where all summer long there's black smoke and ashes floating through the air...

Lungs can take so much... Pretty much like 2nd hand smoke...

Today it's going to rain and hopefully it'll rain tomorrow good time to weed and seed where the idiots  use gasoline to kill the grass  and the dog pee.... well you know what I'm talkin about...

After that it's going to get cold around here... yard work will come to an end.  So have to hurry and get my list of stuff in one sock and knock it out the ball park...

Also have to get that new used caravan ready for the the road...

Thought I'd leave in October but it maybe
beginning of November... I'm not sure ...

The air quality has been so bad it's affecting animals.  My neighbor has two rescue horses and one of them is having bad breathing problems.  I can't remember when it has ever been this bad in such a wide area for such a long time.

We were discussing this last night at work.  Last summer was actually worse for us and we had ash settling on everything.  It canceled our anniversary trip home and we ended up going over to Winthrop, which turned out to be just as bad.

So many people were complaining about the conditions inside the factory last night though, (tonight and Wednesday are supposed to be worse), that I took pictures of the aisle ways and production areas and sent them to our safety/environmental division, to see what their reaction was.  Where I come from, we would say "suck it up buttercup", but in this day of kinder, gentler, coddling of the American worker, it seems we have to pacify them on a daily basis as well, LOL.  I have often contended that we need to issue bubblewrap suits for the employees and ensure they get their milk and cookies, with a nap every day...LOL

but Mother Nature is still proving she's in charge.

It does make for some incredible sunrises and sunsets though.

Not only is it in the air it's also getting into the water..
that's really something to deal with

just read an article on a o l about what people are having to deal with with the smoke in Seattle and in Portland and that's got  to be devastating.
