Title: America waiting for the red wave Post by: chuck_curtis on 06 22, 18, 10:09:49:PM On Friday, President Donald Trump said that a “red wave” is needed for a robust immigration bill to successfully pass in Congress, adding that Democrats “won’t give votes for political reasons.”
In a series of early morning tweets posted on June 22, Trump criticized Democrats for “doing nothing but obstructing.” “Even if we get 100% Republican votes in the Senate, we need 10 Democrat votes to get a much needed Immigration Bill – & the Dems are Obstructionists who won’t give votes for political reasons & because they don’t care about Crime coming from Border!” Trump said. “Elect more Republicans in November and we will pass the finest, fairest and most comprehensive Immigration Bills anywhere in the world. Right now we have the dumbest and the worst. Dems are doing nothing but Obstructing. Remember their motto, RESIST! Ours is PRODUCE!” The president’s comments come a day after House GOP leaders delayed a major immigration bill until at least next week, according to Reuters. “We’re going to spend a weekend; delay a vote until next week and see if we can come to a (new) compromise,” said Republican Representative Jeff Denham following a closed, two-hour meeting of House Republicans. Trump called for Republicans to “stop wasting their time” until more are elected into office this coming November. He accused Democrats of not truly wanting to solve the border crisis. “Republicans should stop wasting their time on Immigration until after we elect more Senators and Congressmen/women in November,” he said. “Dems are just playing games, have no intention of doing anything to solves this decades old problem.
