Title: What a Job
Post by: emilyB on 02 09, 18, 11:59:46:PM
Hubby made the decision to re-carpet the motorhome himself.  He's been all last month tearing out carpet and padding.  On Tuesday he took it to a carpet warehouse and came back with a big roll of carpet and padding and it was so heavy getting it out of the motorhome.  He saved all the old carpet to act as a pattern and there are some very tight places, like under the pedals up front and in the tiny bathroom..  He laid it all out in the garage cutting it out and I learned a few new cuss words.  He started yesterday and by this afternoon he had done the whole front part of the RV and he's doing an amazing job.  So good that he was able to join my friend and I for a nice big cup of tea at 4 pm.  I have been keeping him sell supplied with treats while he works, lol.  It's a job, he says, for only one person.  Whew!  That's good.

That is incredible he’s doing it himself! Oh but what a pain dealing with something so heavy, i feel for you! Wow Proper carpet laying is a real skill... Emily, you and hubby are amazing!!! I include you because you’re the dream team. : ] And i meant to tell you i love those knitted caps you made i saw on another thread. So super cute, would look great on anyone. Sorry to read about your Sis or relative going through treatments that could lose parts of her hair.

It looks great!  The satisfaction of a job well done is great reward.

Thank you.  I was so pleased this morning to read my sister-in-law received her hats Thursday and they fit great.  I only mailed them on Monday so that was extremely fast.  She had her stem cell transplant yesterday but is doing ok except for feeling like s**t.  She will be in the hospital in the UK for at least 3 weeks.
