Go back and look at my posts.  I have not said one word about whether or not the Confederate flag should remain.  I don't personally support the rebel flag.  I don't advocate for it to be flown.  I don't care one way or the other.  My focus today has been on the absurdity of worrying about a flag rather than a racist killer.

The next time you get the urge to make a false accusation, think about what you are going to say first, and be sure it is accurate.

I don't support the display of the flag either. I can somewhat see both sides of the issue. Many southerners see it as a symbol of the old south with no personal racism. Others look at it much differently, and view it as a symbol of the old south and have a (R e at deal of racism and wear it proudly. If I had to vote, I would vote to remove it, but since I live I Michigan I really don't have a dog in that hunt, and prefer to focus more on the domestic terrorist that assassinated those parishioners and work to educate try to figure out what could motivate a young person to commit such a heinous act.

When the President of the United States declares you a racist it was wise on their part to remove that nasty symbol of AMERICAN history and AMERICAN heritage, Sadly we all know and have witnessed Hussein Obama's hatred for anything/everything AMERICAN and specifically anyone or any symbol of WHITE.

Ya know, I am somewhat confused.  I am a member of our local historical society, and they are having a civil war reenactment in early July.  I wonder if they will use the Confederate Battle Flag?

And for that matter, this is a common event around the 4th of July around the country.... Will they have to use the flag of surrender or will they use the old confederate battle flag?

I would suspect there would be lots of Rebel Flags around Gettysburg next week. I guess it is okay to use it in Penna as we are not a former slave state and the battle that turned the tide in favor of the Yanks was 151 years ago next week was fought in Gettysburg.
