Title: Question
Post by: luvtimes on 06 28, 10, 10:57:05:AM
Should a bathroom be any other color but white?

Sound silly but I do have a white bathroom and always wanted one... just plain and simple and the faucets and stuff is steel chrome......

I was looking at this magazine a few minutes ago and it showed other colors of bathrooms... I just want to see if it's ok to have other then white...

I have 3 bathrooms (well 2 1/2 actually)...none of them are white.

But a bathroom is your choice no one elses.  If you love the white walls then you can add splashes of color in your towel, shower curtain and rug selections...no one can decide except you...

I have seen all white bathrooms that use texture like wainscotting, or shuttering to give them depth...but they were just as beautiful all white...

My blue powder room. The other  bathrooms are both pure white. I have brass and chrome but wish it was all chrome.

I did that with a double sponge roller.  The paint tray is also a double...blue paint in one and white in the other half and you roll back and forth blending it,  the rollers have a pattern indented on them and makes a cool design after rolled together.  My master bath is the same way but I used a bright white with a bone white and it's gorgeous. No photos of it though.  Everyone thinks it is wall paper.

I love color with the white.  I did one of my bathrooms with mint green walls and white baseboards and door and the other bathroom has a white ceramic tile counter top, white baseboards and lemon walls.  I spruce the first one up with teal and pink towels and the other with pastel blue and lemon towels.

One of the first bathrooms I redecorated when we initially bought a home in the US was done in ot pink and orange.............how did I get away with that one?

You can have any color you want!  Mine are both a soft gray with white trim.  Master has a gray, pink, white jacuzzi tub.

Sunshine, I love the wooly roller...it's how we've done a lot of the paint in our house.  One bedroom and all three baths...
