They cancelled our flight just when we arrived at the airport in Detroit. But when I told them the reason I was flying to Oregon - the lady behind the counter was very sympathetic and got very busy searching trying to work something out, and finally, after more than 20 minutes she came up with a viable workaround. My 2 sons and myself ended up flying the opposite direction to Washington DC (Dulles), then flying to San Francisco, then Medford, OR. From the Atlantic to the Pacific. Man, what a long haul. We left an hour earlier than our original plan, and with the layovers we arrived in Medford 5 hours later than we should have (originally). But, we made it. (Oh I like this one of yours too> "-) ....have already borrowed your other one '-) a million times)......First from yours to Sun's neck of the woods then to where Emily wrote her kids just drove near on the 5 where that big pile up occurred a few days ago. Thank goodness she delayed them with a bite to eat first before they left. So they missed the accident but were held up.......5 hours too!

I found great comfort in creating a video after my brothers died and have a wonderful collage of photos of my mother through the years. The time for healing has begun.
